Euro 2012 Qualification Results

September 8th, 2010

The 2012 Euro Qualifiers continued last night with five more sides coming into the fray, and for punters who like to compare odds – big payouts were received.

Last night’s results proved to punters at Ladbrokes.com.au that the high scores are the way to go in these qualifiers, with the powerhouses of Europe in a different league to their smaller counterparts.

Germany got their goal-scoring form on track when they carried out a 6-1 mauling of Azerbaijan at home.

It was a superb display of world class football from the young international side, which means they have two wins from as many games in Group A.

Italy struck out against World Cup critics with a stunning 5-0 win over the Faroe Islands, although a win was certainly expected of them at Ladbrokes.com.au.

The upset of the round was Portugal’s defeat to Norway which paid well through Ladbrokes.com.au.

In Group D France finally netted a win.

They were appalling in South Africa and started off their Euro 2012 campaign with a shocking loss to Belarus, but managed a 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina away from home.

England continued to strike out against their critics, claiming a 3-1 win away from home against the defensive Swiss.

Wayne Rooney scored his first goal in and England shirt for a year, with subs Adam Johnson and Darren Bent capping off the tally.

The upset of the round was Portugal’s defeat to Norway which paid well through Ladbrokes.com.au. It was a single Erik Huseklepp goal which marked the difference, and sees Portugal second from bottom in Group H.

The next batch of qualifiers will kick-off on October 8, so make sure you sign up to Ladbrokes.com.au so you can make the most of the thrilling soccer betting action!
