Premier League Week Three Results

August 30th, 2010

The 2010-11 English Premier League reached week three over the weekend and saw a lot of money made by punters at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Blackburn Rovers welcomed Arsenal to Ewood Park to kick off the action. It’s no surprise to see Arsenal claimed three points, although Rovers were certainly a threat.

There were two big upsets this weekend which certainly paid well to wagerers who took a risk at Ladbrokes.com.au. Firstly was Saturday afternoons clash between Tottenham and Wigan as they took to White Hart Lane.

Spurs had the hot odds at $1.25 with Ladbrokes.com.au, while Wigan was out at $12. Wigan was crushed 6-0 by Chelsea last weekend, and looked to be early favourites for relegation.

However they overcame the odds this weekend and secured a single-goal win over Champions League contenders Tottenham.

On Sunday afternoon Sunderland welcomed Manchester City to the Stadium of Light. Last weekend Sunderland lost to West Brom, while Manchester City secured a huge 3-0 win over Liverpool.

The home side headed into this weekend at $4 for the win with Ladbrokes.com.au, while City was at $1.91. However thanks to a well-taken injury time penalty from Darren Bent, City received their first defeat of the season, and paid out well to punters who went against the odds.

Chelsea is still the only team in the Premier League not to have dropped any points, after beating Stoke City 2-0.

Week four kicks off next Saturday as Everton welcome Manchester United to Goodison Park for a thriller. So make sure you are signed up to Ladbrokes.com.au so you can make the most of the soccer betting odds for the exciting English Premier League.
