The 2010-11 A-League saw draws being the most rewarding punt through Ladbrokes.com.au.

Wellington Phoenix began their season this weekend having had a bye in week one. They faced the Gold Coast United ($2.90) on Friday night and went in as favourites at $2.30 with Ladbrokes.com.au.

While there were plenty of goals, neither side could manage to go one further. The Kiwi side were the better outfit on the day and were unlucky to lose two points after a late goal from Jason Culina.

North Queensland claimed the first win of the weekend when they beat Sydney on Saturday night. It was the shock result of the weekend, and paid well to punters who backed them at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Sydney travelled to the fixture as hot favourites at $1.91 for the win, while the Fury were at $3.75 with Ladbrokes.com.au. Dyron Daal made a top impact when he came off the bench and booted the winner with eight minutes to go.

Perth Glory also secured a win on Saturday night when they kept a clean sheet against Melbourne Victory. It was another case of the favourite underperforming as the Victory headed into the game at $1.91 while the Glory were at $3.75 with Ladbrokes.com.au.

Jamie Harnwell was the man in purple who delivered both goals – one in each half. The win marks the Perth side’s first A-League victory in Melbourne, and they certainly deserved it after a perfect display on the pitch.

Week three will kick off on Friday night when Adelaide United welcome Melbourne Heart to the Hindmarsh Stadium, so make sure to head to Ladbrokes.com.au for all the best soccer betting action!
